Dr Malcolm Macpherson
is the third-term Mayor of Central Otago District, a member of the Otago District Health Board and the Otago Polytechnic Council, and NZ's first USA National Quality Program certified examiner (class of 2007)

is the Director of Business Excellence NZ Limited and has extensive experience in training for organisational improvement as an accredited provider under the government BIZ programme. He has managed the NZ Performance Excellence Study Awards since their inception as a joint government/private sector initiative in 1992
